Where Our Journey Began

Serenity was set up by Sofia Younis, a child-focused professional with a passion for supporting society’s most vulnerable. With a long history in the care industry, Sofia brought a background in paediatric nursing, fostering, adoption and residential care.

Combining a community network with decades of experience working with children, we took the important decision to tailor our specialist homes to those with autism, learning disabilities, mental health issues, emotional and challenging behaviour, and other complex care needs.

Over the years, in order to extend our support to as many families as possible, our expertise has expanded into multiple other areas, from specialist ADHD care to challenging behaviour training.

Our mission is to provide an high quality environment where children can flourish, learn and grow in homes that they can call their own.

Our Goals for the Future

As we look towards a more positive future for children and young people everywhere, we hope to expand our provision with even more children’s care homes and supported accommodation for young adults.

Our aim is to provide a service that expertly responds to the needs of the children and young people in our care, keeping them safe from harm while preparing them for a fulfilling life ahead.

With access to sector leading care and support, we hope that more young people will be better equipped to deal with life’s challenges and achieve positive outcomes they might not have had access to otherwise.
